Fridges

In this section you will find Compressor & Absorption Fridges that work generally from 230v & Gas as well as a 12v option. These are known as 3 way fridges and are available as portable chest fridges or cabinet fridges simular to your household fridge and generally built into a Caravan or Motorhome.

It is worth remembering that these fridges work similar to a household fridge in that they cool to a certain level and maintain that temperature. They are designed to work of 230v mains electric on site or at home, off Gas when used in a well ventilated space or correctly fitted into a caravan or Motorhome (dependant on the model for cabinet fridges. Chest style fridges are not designed to be built in).

All types of 3 way fridges are not designed to work to full capacity on 12v. They should be cooled to operating temperature either on mains or gas and then will maintain that temperature while plugged into the vehicle on 12v. Once you reach your destination you then operate the fridge on 230V or gas.
