Semloh 15m Mains lead & Cable Reel - Safe 2.5mm Copper Conductors

There has been an influx of cheap, generally Chinese manufactured mains leads, that do not comply to the British Standards, they can have undersized conductors and inferior plugs. This can lead to danger of overheating and possibly fire.

Is Colour important - An Orange cable is the recomended colour for use on Caravan Sites, especially Camping & Caravanning Club and Caravan & Motorhome Club sites. Also lots of commercial site will only allow the use of orange cable.

These 15m leads are useful if your caravan is close to the hook up point and saves having your 25m lead trailing on the ground, also the shorter the lead the less volts drop in the cable, so less chance of overheating. Also useful on continental sites where you could be a long way from the electical supply and have to use more than one lead to reach you caravan or motorhome (in this case always make sure your leads are 2.5m copper conductors and remember the exposed 16Amp Plug & Socket is not waterproof should not be just left on the ground but protected using a suitable method to stop water ingress..

We are selling this lead compete with a cable reel for ease of storage. Alway fully uncoil the cable from the reel when in use

Never leave the cable coiled up, as this will cause overheating. lay the cable out as straight as possible and if connecting a 25m and 10m lead protect the connectors from water/rain using a purpose made waterproof cover
